Help with MS Access
I need some help with Access. I'm tryin to my life easier at work by creating an Access database to aid with statistics reports, currently i've just created a spreadsheet in Excel which is functional, but i have to redo it every month and piss about with the formulas for the different amounts of working days etc, so i thought if i could create something in Access it might make things easier in the long run and also become more powerful for what i want to do. STarting anything off in Access scares the hell outta me! Anyone can help me get started with some pointers?
Im working in access 2003 at the moment and get a lot of hints at this forum http://www.utteraccess.com And I know a great deal about the program but not very much vba but u will find a lot of readymade codes at UA and a lot of helpful programmers. and mind the normalizing standard of DB:s if u dont they WILL tell u about it.
U can IMPORT ur ecxelsheet into access and it will divide it properly or at ur choice. BTW backup is the keyword always make a backup BEFORE u work in it. Ive learned it the hard way.
