looks to be a Saab, either 900 or 9-3, ideally automatic, on LPG.

Going to test drive one tomorrow, looking to try another (autom) also this week......

change of plans as the one I wanted to see tomorrow has already been sold. I did test drive another 5 door automatic today and am quite pleased with it. Provided I sign a contract tomorrow, I think I may just have to get this one

no post in this thread for 5 years, and then 2 come along at once

I got a company car these days, Skoda Octavia Estate that I've had for 6 months, these Skodas are very nice cars these days IMO :)

Somebody had to revive it

I quite like the modern Skodas, am not sure how they cope on LPG though? I've looked at the Fabia station before, still like it a lot.

However the Swedish Fever has hit me by now, a Saab would look better next to the present Volvo V70 XC :p

It's actually highly motivated by having to conquer traffic to and from south of Rotterdam everyday very soon (very likely). Experience teaches me that most workers on the road aren't exactly gentlemen-like when driving. I've been hit by some idiot before, so a big bulky and rather safe car seems a very good option for this. Also I like Saab, cause it's unlike any other brand I know

I don't like Fabias - too small for me!

No idea on LPG, it's not something you see a lot of over here yet, and mine is diesel.

Will you be buying new or used? Reason I ask is that a mate of mine bought a new Saab 93 about 18months ago and found out the hard way that those things depreciate in value like there's no tomorrow!

used. I never buy new cars as a matter of policy :p
Although Saab would still be a better investment than say, Alfa Romeo, still used and already depreciated, and with LPG already built in and tested, is the way to go if you ask me. Saabs are actually pretty stable over here price wise, however cars in general have depreciated over the last year or so ;)
