Memory-freeing software

I using MemTurbo to free up unused RAM at mo, but it seems to have issues with XP. It always loads twice on startup (sometimes with different readings!) , and always displays a hotkey error on startup. Anyone know any decent (and free!) alternatives? Posted from a mobile

works ok for me but ive heard of that error. have you checked the mem turbo faq as im sure its mentioned - may be worng though.

not checked the FAQ, but in the other helpfiles i couldnt see any mention of XP [i][color=#006699]wapwap oops!![/color][/i]

hmm well ive deffo read about that particular problem with mem turbo somewhere - maybe a google will reveal a fix? not sure about any other proggies as ive always used that one.

hmmm, cant find any mention in the FAQ. had a look on http://www.memturbo.com, where the mainpage is shouting about the joys of MemTurbo 3, but all other pages say MemTurboII !

also, download.com lists it as 95/98/NT/2000 only, whereas the website has XP added on after that list

hmm not sure then m8

i have an idea though - check your startup folder and remove mem turbo from it. it may be as you have an option in mt to start up on boot and it may alos be in your startup folder thus starting twice.

one step ahead mate, already did that a min ago, no time for reboot yet tho!
