Need to find out my local IP addy so i can run Nmap to run a local port scan.
anyone know how to detect the local ip addy rather than the external one?

disconnect your net connection, then type ipconfig into a dos box

didnt work. got no results from ipconfig once i dissconect my network connection

strange, when my connection was down the other day i was getting a different IP addy when i ran ipconfig

ed, from reading
here , it appears that 127.0.0.1 should be your local IP

that doesnt work either as it's a loopback ip or something

yeah sorry realised after i posted.
a lot of google links return the sourcecode for a little proggy that supposedly gets the local IP
