Sony to Make Top 500 Films Available for Download

Sony are going to make their top 500 films available digitally for download next year in an effort to curb illegal file-sharing. This is a great idea in my opinion and I would probably use such a service if the price and products were right.
I'm not sure if they would make cinema releases available, in fact I doubt it, but wouldn?t it be great to be able to download a new cinema release for ?5 and watch it at home. Well it would be for those of us who have trouble finding a babysitter. They could certainly make it so that it would be only viewable the one time to counter copyright theft but I?m sure they may be other issues at play here.
I think it's a step ion the right direction but my only concern now would be the capping of broadband services which would mean many being unable to download large files all the time but that?s another story.
