Mornin All.

I am looking at buying a cheapo digital camcorder, I wanted something which is reasonable spec, and if poss records on to like mini cassette tape things (Is it called mini-DV? not sure! Anyway, not ones which record on to MMC/Memory Stick cards etc) Anyone got any ideas? Max budget is ?150, cos ill prob break it!

i bought a sony handycam at christmas, it was fairly cheap and works really well. it uses digital 8 tapes which are slightly bigger so may be no good to you but its perfect for what we need. got a ton of features i'll never use and has night mode so works in the dark still trying to figure out how to back the tape up to my pc as i lose the sound when i tried but other than that its great.

Seriously though, Where else would you recommend on the net? Dixons etc is overpriced (I know someone who works there!)

since you have a mate at Dixons, you can utilise their staff 10%discount like i do
