Converting DivX/Xvid to DVD

Anyone tried it and recommend any software to convert the above files formats to playable dvd format?

just buy a DivX compatible DVD player
most DVD players seem to advertise DivX compatibility these days

erm well i rather not buy another dvd player when ive already got loads
