Crysis demo coming September 25th

If you're a PC gamer, chances are September 25, 2007 is meaningless to you. What many are marking down as the day Halo 3 comes out is just another Tuesday. EA, however, decided to change that.

They have just announced that the first Crysis demo will be available on September 25, 2007, giving PC gamers a reason to circle the date. The demo will feature the entire first level "Contact," as well as a "huge surprise from Crytek."

Crysis is easily one of the most anticipated PC games of the year, coming off great showings at both E3 and the German Games Convention, where it won Best PC Game according to the panel of experts.

that the Far Cry dudes?

Yup but they lost the rights to the Far Cry IP so they've been making an 'unofficial' follow up. It's probably the most anticipated PC game of all time mainly due to it's use of DX10 and the fact it's a Vista DX10 only game.

Check out some of the vids and you should be pretty amazed at the graphics and physics possible with DX10, thus the hype:
