Gotta strange problem with MSN/Live Messenger - I have two mail accounts which I use it with, my normal one works fine, but as of about a week ago the other one crashes on attempting to log in. Not only does this happen on MSN / Live Messenger but also other clients using the MSN protocol (Gaim, Miranda etc) - the only real difference is that the non-working one is an @hotmail.com address rather than @msn.com, and it includes an underscore in the first part of the address.... weird!

Strange, mine is a @hotmail.com one and works fine. Guessing it's the underscore that does it? Try making another hotmail.com one and seeing if that works?

A google found nothing last night. I installed Trillian and it seemed to work fine on the address, then I went back to MSN, it logged in fine, but as soon as I tried to send a message it crashed ffs

Strange indeed, i would email hotmails support.
