Ipod Phone Has Experts Divided

Post by fac51 »

BBC News add a new interesting spin on the hybrid phone/mp3 player Apple announced yesterday.
Apple's announcement of a phone that can use iTunes and play music has left the industry divided. Some pundits said the device compared badly with existing iPod music players in both its looks and onboard features.

Others questioned which group of consumers it was aimed at and whether people would be willing to pay a premium for such a device. But some thought that the combination of Apple and Motorola could turn the gadget into a winner.

Well i don't buy itunes or hardly listen to mucis on my phone so i don't care about it (don't really like the looks either, however i did see a black one that looked ok). Also, the fact i have a K700 with no emory stick duo maybe the reason i don't have many songs on my phone? However, thoes that do use the walkman feature on their phone it will be quite good as itunes are cheap (well convienient you can buy a song for 79p), however, i noticed only people with ipods use itunes really and if you have an ipod why would you want to listen to music on your phone?

well i only listen to music on my phone if i find myself stuck in a place with nothing else to do really.... and only if I would have my headset with me which in reality i never have.... they're still wrapped in plastic

The iPod is cool, mine is anyway, because it's tiny and lightweight and a lot simpler that my phone to handle. In fact the little thing has turned me into an iPod fan, I love it!

I'd far sooner purchase another iPod (nano!! ) than purchase a motorola phone. I think the concept might work due to the popularity of iTunes and the lack of devices that will play them, but not because it's a great or even an attractive phone... ( :puke: )

I'm no fan of Sony music products to be quite honest.... although in fairness I must say my first walkman, a rugged model with fm radio, still does the job after almost 20 years..... but the fm tuner broke off about 10 years ago and I have very few casettes left for it :P

I like iPods and have managed not to ruin mine yet :D

Do walkmans except mp3? What about ipods? Or do you have to convert them to itunes? :P

But if you can convert mp3 to itunes there must be a way to reverse engineer it :P

new wlakmans obviously do MP3's

iPods do MP3 and AAC among others and you can copy straight from CD to iPod :)
