Just read this handy hint in PCZONE and thought i'd share it with you as i know some of u may be getting these pop ups.
These pop ups occur when someone sends u a message via windows system messanger service (not msn) and this service needs to be stopped to stop the pop ups.
To stop annyoing pop ups in the above OS's even when u have a pop up stopper and firewall u need to do this: (ad-aware etc will not stop these pop-ups)
in win2kpro and XP click the start button and select run. then type services.msc and press enter. when the service dialogue box appears right click the messanger entry and select properties form the menu. click the stop button to stop it and set startup type to disabled.
this should end the problem
the fact u are recieving the pop ups in the first place indicate a security flaw that could probably do with addressing. more info on blocking the open ports is available in microsofts support section
