cool start up thingy, like the circles

My icon looks distored and rubbish, need to make another one 20*20, just at that size how and what will look good <img src="http://img286.imageshack.us/img286/5347/untitled15nm.png" alt="orb" border="0.5"></img>

right clicked, went to about and now can't get rid of it , right click on tab at bottom does nothing , had to exit whole prog

Does it start up automatically when the pc starts up?

yes if you put it in your startup folder, or add it in msconfig....

You are indeed correct, I will be making the script available on the phpbb mod forums soon so more forums can use it...

Regarding the about box, try clicking anywhere on the box to close it?!!!! same with the startup splash screen too...

EDIT: Unless you haven't run it before, don't extract "config.ini", and keep using your own.... Then run the file, and right click on the icon, edit configuration and choose your "data.cpi" path and press ok... If there is still an error, then restart the software.. This will be fixed in the next release...

btw it's a very good proggy chris, well done . Wish i was that good at programming without having to work for it

Will it have plugin support later? Maybe it's a start of a big product and all forums will use it, maybe with plugins you could just have one icon to and it informs you for multiple forums

Only phpBB boards supported at the mo?

Oh another question, is there a way to make it load ff for me instead of IE without setting ff to the defualt browser? (again, not in the code, a way on my comp), like open all links in ff for this program

Curently it opens in your default browser (hopefully!!) but yeah that may be something to add. Just sorting the "auto updates" at the moment but I will add that later...

Regarding multiple forums, that needs to be investigated, anyone got ideas of how to do this efectively? what if 2 forums are queried and both have posts? what to display? I am currently looking at a different form of alerts, similar to MSN style, but we will have to see!

I like the msn style alerts, maybe different colours for different forums or different shapes, or the name of the forum on the top as a title. I was thinking your prog is the base of it, then on different forums they have their own phpscript and add the location to your base program and your program distinguishes between the different ones. Maybe set a limit to 5 forums, each with their own location script and just do the same but different style popup? BTW this is just distant idea (thought the soft. was just for guru ).
