after reading a couple reviews, I would say --> don't change the memtimings , I quote "CL2 with the fastest setting is about 1.3% to 3% faster than CL2.5 with the slowest setting." end quote
if it's working now at 2300, with good temp stick with it, try to tweak your operating system now

What do you mean by tweaking the os? Im not too sure what can be done with windows.

And i will post my RAM timings when i get home (at college at the mo).
I got everything on default apart from v core, fsb and multi at the mo too

I attempted to do the prime95 torture test to check system stability, and couldnt gett it to run in any of my oc configurations, (even tryied upping he mem voltage) and now when im running at bstock speeds, the vocal post says i failed the memory test???

Still loads windows and CoolMon (desktop display for system settings) reports i have 512 MB of ram and so does windows???

Think ive ballsed my ram up?

It appears that BIOS is reporting ok now after i set the efaults back again.

Think my ram cant cope with 200 Mhz, so i might run my fsb slightly under 200 to compensate.

Right, getting errors left right n centre when trying to alter mem settings (voltage, not CAS settings) but now ive hot a stable oc at 2ghz with 200fsb by using the by spd option in BIOS.

I wanted to test the stability of my RAM, so i overclocked the fsb to 200, but on a 10 multi, (2Ghz).

I know thats under the speed of the stock settings, but i needed to know what the limiting factors of my overclocking was (i cant get a stable overclock, keeps dying during prime 95)

Since then, i have discovered that i have a bad mobo (well, fully functioning, but a bad ocer) and have had to reinstall windows yet again. (oh joy of all joys)

Cant wait to see if Asus reease anothr BIOS update, see if that will ahve any effect. But for now im running at stock speeds as i cant afford any monumental **** ups at the mo.

After further investigation, i have found that my RAM is fine, (Used memtest86) and its defo my board thats being an arse.
Ebuyer have said that theyll gimme a new one tho, so its cool.

Im gonna go mad without having my ploota for a couple of days, so i might wait until i next get paid and buy my watercooling stuff at the same time (gives me a sorta excuse for taking everything out then, as ill need to mod my case)

nah, aria ran outta stock of the xp 2600 and the mobo when i weas ordring, so i went with ebuyer instead

sorry psycho, have been away, but what you're saying sounds familair, had the same probs, with my girlfriends pc, I still guess it's the memory, got the same setup for a friend off mine (can't remember the brand off mem) and we were able to oc his to 11,5 * 200 so he's got an 3200+ now instead off 2500+, what I meant with tuning Xp is, changing some standard settings that are slowing down your system (eg system restore, visual effects) and look if your MTU (just use google) is set properly

Good to see you back Had no luck on any of the overclocking forums i hang out in regarding the correct RAM timings i would need for a stable 200 fsb overclock (everyones got NF7 S's) as im pretty sure thats what the problem is.
