I've pcb 2.0 (just like guru said almost all new ones are rev2 0)
And you're correct about the recognition of the 2600+, the standard bios will recognize all off the older processors(2400+ 2600+ 2800+ 3000+ with l2= 126kb), but the standard BIOS will not recognize the new barton proccesors (2500+ 2800+ 3000+ 3200+ all with double l2 cache)
with the latest bios there are a couple off issues fixed with serial ata, raid onboard sound, IDE controller
By the way send a couple off pics, maybe THE GURU will post them here, and I'm planning to make a couple off little movies (perhaps pics) how to overclock your a7n8x with bios settings. I've my girlfriends PC now running at 3000+ instead of 2500+ and it's all stable now

with the asus a7n8x both are unlocked (multiplier and fsb)

Cool, id prefer to do a multiplier oc, but im pretty safe doing an FSB oc as my rams a higher rate. Am i right?
Cheers mate

it's better to do a fsb oc, for example 13 * 166 =2158
and 11 * 197 will do the same
but 11 * 197 will give better performance due to the fsb speed

before you start changing, make sure you know how to reset your bios.
I know asus have cpu cop, but it doesn't work all the time quite right.

Got a bloody old bios Pino. (to answer your well welll well earlier question)
Also, after having to reinstall xp after the BT ISDN drivers arsed my system, i no longer have a USB controller in the device manager, and i cant locate one from the cds provided either.
Any suggestions?
