Reason I went for the sierra rad is because it has a copper core and the way it works.

Motorbike rads tend to work in a different way than car radiators, as in they use water pressure to push water through all the tubes in the rad, if theres not enough pressure, the water takes the path of least resistance (a number of holes in the rad joined to the outlet) and exits the rad. This wouldnt be ideal as Im attempting to get maximum heat dissipation.

The sierra rad uses a simple looped pipe approach, and wont need anywhere near as much pressure as a bike rad. And its bloody hooj, so I can run it without fans.

This fluorinert stuff is slightly expensive at ?55 per 500ml tho, so I may stay with water

so your going to put a car radiator in your pc?

The car rad is going external (mounted on the right inner support of my desk to be precise!) and I'm going to route tubing through a a custom built adaptor which is going to replace the 80mm exhaust fan in my case (no extra cutting required then..well, apart from the lowest PCI slot, as it is going to be the exit for my primary loop)

Just reading up on Fluorinert, I dont care, im getting some of this even if it costs me ?300!

Just been on the blower to Armari, and the Fluorinert is gonna cost me ?46 per 540ml, and I reckon that I'm gonna need at least a litre and a bit

But s'pose it would cost a fair bit for a proper rad for your pooter,and any other bits you have replaced.

The original rad I was gonna buy costs ?70 (excl p&p), and is built around a 120mm form factor (Id definitely need fans on it, and id need 4 of them to do my whole system) and the sierra rad has cost me just under ?20 including postage and packaging. It wont be too long before its all up and running hopefully.

Gotta find some good looking 1/2" hose clamps now, possibly gonna get me some from here as they do spangly anodized ones.

70 quid that aint too bad..but if u can get sumit to do the same job for cheaper,..why not

Probably gonna get either the blue or the silver. My CPU waterblock is made of silver, so It would look cool to have them matching, but I intend to have a blue lighting scheme, so possibly anodized blue fittings...........

I,m guessing that the hoses are silver so they'd look better with some blue

They are, but I already had a bloo cathode and LED fan from my old system, the power light on my case is loo as is the fan controller display. Thought I may as well stick with bloo
