there's a windows update for the leaked messenger beta today, it says summat like "not an actual update, just for testing that messenger updates work through windows update".... i installed it..... now it's back in spanish ffs

and the earlier fix of copying the dll doesn't work

it doesn't work.... it just comes up with checking your system (after downloading the exe), then does nothing.... i tried uninstalling.... same problem

hmmm how strange, not sure on that one mate - you run a reg check in between installs?

that failed too, had to download the non-beta 8.1, that installed fine but still installing the beta on top fails
