hmmmmm, don't really wanna sit here and download a huge ISO on the off chance that it might possibly sort out a driver issue! just gonna format the vista partition and wait till it gets released

and so far it gets the :stu far faster than previous builds, virtually all device drivers installed from the start and less annoying pop ups.

finally got it, just burning the iso to disc - what's the craic with installing over an existing Vista install? (it doesn't mention it on the site like it did for the other releases)

you can upgrade an older version of vista to a newer one although it takes ages so best to format and go fresh.

posting at home using IE7 on Vista :stu

after install I chucked in my USB Key with the current drivers for the wireless card, installed them using Device Manager (rather than using the sw installer that comes with the drivers) - it installed straight away and almost immediately connected to my wireless network, then Windows Update downloaded drivers for all other HW that wasn't immediately supported.

I likes it so far, I likes it indeed :stu

Ed mate make sure you keep yourself secure when using Vista - I installed OneCare Live straight away and naturally assumed i'd be pretty safe - however ran a NOD32 scan last night on my Vista partition and it picked up 54 (yes, fifty-four) trojans, some of which were in the sent folder of the Windows Live Mail Desktop program :o :deize: :arse: :x
