i can do hardly anything with the setup, more or less just change icon size
and it installed some other program called TaskSwitch XP

moved the newsbox a little to the right and down by now though... it reads slashdot headlines, nothing fancy

nope.
installed kororaa (= largely preconfigured gentoo) instead but ndiswrapper broke it
of course
