Feel the bullets while playing shooters

Post by fac51 »

TN Games, makers of "physical experience hardware," will release a PC vest accessory on Nov. 21 that mimics the feeling of being hit by real bullets when playing first-person shooters.

The 3rd Space FPS Vest features eight embedded contact points that are said to simulate the direction and force of bullet fire in a first-person shooter game.

"Our patented vest technology now provides gamers with an unprecedented opportunity to physically experience their action... feel the rush of body slams, be crushed with G-forces, feel a stab wound or be blasted with bullet fire in either a single or multi-player game," said Mark Ombrellaro, founder of TN Games.

Somehow I doubt the feeling will be anywhere near to the pain experienced when getting hit by real bullets.

Don't think it's supposed to feel like real bullets and kill you but just add to the immersion and for that I say yeah!

I have to disagree. I think it wouldn't really add that much to the immersion, I think it would take it away more that anything.

I liked to be relaxed when gaming, not straddled up in a stupid vest wincing everytime I get shot!

I highly doubt there'll be any forces involved that are actually gonna hurt you. It'd prob be a bit of vibration at most...

Yeah....vibration does add to the immersion. It is sorely missed on the PS3.
