Is it any good? I keep reading mixed reviews, some say it's excellent and others say it buggy as hell - pretty much par for the course for any smart phone.
I want a new phone with WiFi and can synchronize my calender etc with my Windows PC. I liked the look of the P910i but it's quite old now and big. So is the N95 worth it or anyone know of another decent phone if not?

SE went wrong big time by not making the M600 wifi. I use a pocket pc as they have so much more programs available than the knokia's.
Think about going with t-Mobile and a web n walk plan. You wont need wifi then but use gprs. You can then use bt to sync without wires back to your pc.
i have an O2 orbit which is the same as a MDA compact III from t-mob.

Don't bother with the N95. It's the worst phone I've had the misfortune of owning (I had it a week before selling it, it was that bad. I managed to lose ?200 in the process

As a multimedia device it's great (although with a shockingly poor battery life) ubt as a phone it is truely awful. Build quality is appalling for a phone of the price, it's slow, the slide mechanism is magentic and is affected by anything remotely magnetic which comes near it (unlocks, calls random numbers, turns the record function on etc) and the GPS can be a royal pain in the arse to set up.
I'm personally waiting for Sony Ericssons new phones:
K850 being the 5MP camera, VGA video recording Transflash and M2 memory toting successor to the K810
W960i. The successor to the W950i. This time they've included the 3.2 MP camera from the K800i, added a decent keypad and updated the internal memory to 8Gb(!) as well as retaining the touch screen.
There are some others too, but the above mentioned got me frothing at the mouth.

Hmmm not sure if I like the look of the M600i, looks to boxy for my liking and really want Wifi. Saying that when searching for info on it I found the Orange M600 SPV which is a mobile windows based phone that looks decent:

btw orange don't do the M600 any more Ed, it's replaced with the M700 now, and my reference to Qtek was valid as that was the brand used by HTC, which make the Orange-branded smartphone/PDAs as well as the O2 XDAs and other devices, Qtek is no longer used, HTC just make phones for the networks to brand

Connecting to Wi-Fi network is an absolute doddle, and the M700 is quad-band phone so you don't suddenly disappear when you travel around the globe. In fact, apart from a slow GPS start-up, we only have one other moan.

he is, the Orange SPV 3100 is an HTC Hermes, also know as O2 XDA Trion or Vodafone v1605 - more or less all Windows Mobile phones sold in this country now are HTC phones branded as whatever the network wants to call themarfur wrote:check out the range of htc phones. there are some cool new ones.
was setting up a Vodafone 1240 this morning, it's an HTC Tornado / O2 XDA IQ / Orange SPV C600 - seemed pretty good, if a little small key-pad / screen-wise for my liking (plus no touch-screen)
