Playlist problem with latest release of Winamp?

Sometimes buggy, sometimes crash but usually useful! PC software related discussions here.

Playlist problem with latest release of Winamp?

Post by 117 »

Since I updated Winamp to 5.35, if I have the playlist open when I insert and play a CD, WInamp will crash as soon as it has got the CD details from the online database, however if the playlist is closed on insert the CD will play fine, and I can then open the playlist and see the tracklisting - anyone else seen this problem? I'm using the ClearOne skin, not sure if it's related to that but not had a chance to check with the default skin yet

I use VLC for all video stuff (including DVD playback via PC), Winamp for audio, however I was having a play with the settings in VLC last night and noticed some stuff that I didn't realise was possible, so may start using VLC meself :)

Don't use WMP for anything though :p

use WMP for music and it's fine, no complaints at all. i like being able to minimise it to the toolbar as well.
