2 UK people arrested for using other people's WiFi....

Two people have been cautioned for using people's wi-fi broadband internet connections without permission.

Neighbours in Redditch, Worcestershire, contacted police on Saturday after seeing a man inside a car using a laptop while parked outside a house.

He was arrested and cautioned. A woman was arrested in similar circumstances in the town earlier this month.

West Mercia Police said people with wi-fi should follow security advice given by their internet provider.

Yes. If you're stupid enough to have wifi without a password/encryption, then you deserve to be robbed by scumbags in cars.

It is a danger, hackers can use it to avoid being traced. They can probs steal info from your pc as well as it's a network. As mixin said they should have passwords on it in the first place.

Yes, but that's not the best advice, because "security advice given by their internet provider" is normally arse (speaking from experience), and often amounts to installing Norton ffs.

I would always beware of unsecured access points, who's to say that they aren't setup to sniff all your traffic? anyway why the hell would you need to go and drive somewhere to use someone elses wireless net (unless it's for hacking). if you can afford a car and a lappy then get broadband you stingy fecks.
