Virgin 10Mb broadband to increase to 20Mb in May

I don't know if this is a bit of a scoop or not, I certainly haven't seen it anywhere. After talking to Virgin (formally NTL) today they told me that the 10Mb service was increasing to a guaranteed 20Mb in May!

I'm not sure about the other services but if past experiences are to go by they will probably be doubling too.

it's to counter-act the fact that they've halved the tv channels that actually show stuff

lol i know what youi mean but it doesn't bother me, i cant remember the last time i watched anything on virgin media. i always watch tv in the poota room with the freeview box.

anyway best bit is i get a permanent ?10 off the broadband price plus a further discount of ?8.50 on the tv services; all for sticking with them when i move house - result

They couldn't guarantee 10mb so don't know how they can say that.
