Google reveals 2006's top searches

Social networks Bebo and MySpace were the two most searched for terms of 2006 using Google's search engine.

The two rival sites allow users to create individual web pages, with photos, music and video.

The football World Cup was the third most searched for term while Paris Hilton topped the news searches.

Sometimes i enter an address in the url bar e.g. type bebo in it, and ff using google shows the page that comes top in google for it so maybe due to that?

Also, as google loads as my homepage and the cursor is in the text field sometimes it is quicker to type something like that and then click feeling lucky or submit then the first link

wiki and wikipedia- wonder where it would place if you put both together? When searching for how things work or what it is i usually put in google "remote keyless entry wiki" or "remote keyless entry wikipedia" to get wiki's page on it.

thinking about it - the fucktards at work don't know the difference between the google toolbar (and countless other ******* toolbars they've downloaded) and the address bar - they just type every link in the google toolbar - morons should be banned from operating PCs____

why not just add Wikipedia to the search box in FF vinnie?

I have but always forget about it. Besides doing it the google way may produce some other sites that are relevant and i can easily remove wiki from the search to get google results
