The first HD-DVD players (Toshiba's HD-A1 and HD-XA1), and discs (The Last Samurai, Serenity) were launched today. The first reviews of discs in the new format are available
here and make interesting reading.

Would be great to have a 15gb disc to store all my photos.. Getting a pain now that i have nearly 2DVD's full of em.

yep this is BluRay's opposition, they've got in there first with players and discs released, but BluRay have the mighty PS3 up their sleeve (althou i don't think it'll be that much of a factor tbh)
