Google is working on a project to create its own global internet protocol (IP) network, a private alternative to the internet controlled by the search giant, according to sources who are in commercial negotiation with the company.
don?t think this is a good thing, whilst DNS may remain in American hands the idea of a separate net run by Google goes against the whole idea of the Interweb and that of personal computing. Could almost see it coming with their purchase of optical lines over the Atlantic last year. scary
