yeah it was quite good actually, only saw that because we got there too late for Memoirs Of A Geisha, wasn't expecting to enjoy Jarhead as much as I did. Very little in the way of war in this war film, but very enjoyable still.

Admit it. The new Charlie and the Choccy Factory film is a big load of Arse. I'm still trying to figure out why they had to remake it anyway.

Brokeback Mountain - Nothing beats a good controversial gay cowboy film! Was actaully a really good story and was well casted. The cowboys didn't seem to age much at all though...

They didn't have to remake it. Good job they did though as it is superior to the old on in every way bar 2:

1) The new one doesn't give the sense of just how much Charlie was sacrificing to buy the chocolate bar. In the old one he found 50p, bought a bar, and then decided to spend the rest on a last bar. It was all the money he had. In the new one, he finds a tenner (or somesuch) and wins straight away and takes the rest of the money home.

2) Will Wonka doesn't fall over then go into a roll, surprising and delighting young and old in the new one.

That's it. The only 2 areas where the old was better than the new (admittedly, no 1 was an important one); but look at what we gained, no Wonka Wash with that stupid car, no fizzy lifting gas, no temptation of Charlie by Slugworth, no being kicked out by Willie Wonka, we got a Great Glass Elevator, much better songs, a darker Willie Wonka...

The list just goes on and on.

Mr Mixin, you are wrong and obviously possessed by the dark side! :jedi:
