Can't see the appeal myself but it's got to be better than Crazy Frog on people's mobiles.
TV on mobiles is being touted as the next big thing, with supporters predicting it will offer a new genre of programmes.
While some have expressed doubts about whether people will want to watch TV on their mobiles, handset giant Nokia and leading independent TV producer Endemol are convinced it will be a winner.
Initial signs, both say, are that mobile TV will be a huge hit with consumers, a big money-spinner for content providers and mobile operators as well as a means of transforming TV as it currently exists.
The next 12 months looks set to be the year mobile TV takes off. While the buzz around it is similar to the hype for 3G services, there is much greater optimism that TV will live up to its promise.
the only thing i can see me using it for is watching Soccer Saturday to get the latest footy results while i'm at the match, but there again i do that with WAP anyway
We use mobile TV over UMTS at work on a few handsets and it's quite franky arse tbh. Until the operators get DVBH sorted then I can't see it being massively successful. Hopefully they'll make DVBH relatively inexpensive too (although whats the bets that the BBC will have some sort of price hike in the licences for it!)

I agree - I run Mobile TV on my w900i, and although its cool to show people, I never run it properly, the compression on fast moving graphics, i.e MTV etc is rubbish - its all pixeltated... Screen is also too small for some scrolling bars etc - Think Skysports news - can't read it... Operators need to release 2 versions of their shows...
Speed is quite good, it runs about 3-5 secs behind digital...

that's settled then, I won't be bothering if you can't read the text on SSN! Still want a W900i tho, might have to check them out this week get meself a new phone..... anyone wanna K750i ?
It seems that 3 are trying to cram live cricket on ye mobile down the throats of everyone currently living in Sydney. I really have no desire to watch TV on my mobile.... i can easily watch it at home instead
