nice. i am acutally tempted to buy it, but trouble is i spend far too much time playing games etc as it is, and i'd never have the time to play it properly!

er dunno really! a guy at work is moving away and selling a load of his old dvds to save some space, and he had a coupla games too, so i ended up buying 5 DVDs plus FEAR off him for ?30, but for some reason i turned down Half Life 2, but since he hasn't brought them in yet I guess I could still get that too

be careful as each copy of HL2 will be locked to a Steam account, ie his. therefore if you try and play it it will show up as him on Steam and could get banned.

best way of getting it is to install Steam (you need it anyway) and download it over the internet. well worth playing when you have chance

DOD Source is great! :)

when you but the gold or silver package you get DOD Source bundled with it for free, want an issue when i bought HL2 as DOD only got released a few weeks back.

if you buy the HL2 bronze (like me) you have to pay for DOD Source separately ($20). the good thing about Steam is when a new game comes out you can download it in advance then it unlocks on the day of release. no trips to the local game shops etc etc. i like it although many dont due to the fact you need to run it to play any valve game.
