Malicious PSP code

Be careful what you download, not even the PSP is safe now.

Owners of Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) have been warned about a malicious piece of software which can render the games machine unusable.

The code is masquerading as a firmware patch for the PSP which downgrades the system from 2.0 to 1.5, said security firm F-Secure.

In its blog, F-Secure said the software removes several important system files, making the machine unbootable.

The patch is said to come from a group called PSP Team.

because they like to damage other peoples property. It's the geek equivalent of bashing busstops

although over here they have moved on the bigger stuff... stolen cars on railway tracks, thropwing bricks from overpasses on passing cars (2 dead and counting

), logs hanging from overpasses over railways and so on and so forth. They should all be shot as far as I'm concerned. Makes ruining busstops look like child play
