Open Office

Have seen much talk recently of Open Office being similar to Firefox in that it's a free open-source product that is taking market share off of Microsoft Office. Anyone seen it / use it?

Am downloading it at the mo, will install it later as I only have an old version of M$ Office anyway so will have a squizz

heard of it plenty but the one time i did try it a fair few years back it was shite. maybe a lot better now though

just installing it now, installation involves using the command prompt if you wanna use the sw for more than one user on the pc, or alternatively installing it freshly for each new pc

now it's installed but not set up any shortcuts or anything in the start menu, so gotta go hunting in program files, a job for later methinks

ok i got it working now, there was a bit missed off the instructions for multiple users on the normal installation instructions page, basically you have to do a server install first, then a user install for each user, all sorted now tho
