Just found this:
http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/portable%5Ffirefox/
Tis a portable version of Firefox that will run from a USB Key, a CD, or even some MP3 Players
Haven't had a chance to test yet, but will do later

read about this the other day, the advantage is you can go to a net cafe etc and use firefox with all your favourite bookmarks and settings.

the disadvantage is you need to find somewhere that doesn't bastidise their pootas so you can't plug anything in.

i use portbale firefoz at work now, so it's top dollar that i found
this , it uses an ftp server to synchronzie your bookmarks between all your firefoxs
(now all i need is ftp access from ed :para )
