Spyware is evolving and with this evolution becoming even more deadly to the home and business user. With the clever installation and use of keyloggers bank details and passwords are becoming vulnerable unless you make an effort to keep your PC clean.
Even then this new wave of Spyware have some nasty little methods of avoiding detection and being notoriously difficult to delete. They attack in stages and can be programmed to be virtually undetectable by taking advantage of the fact that it is executed on boot, before any user-level applications start.
Read about the Scob and WebMoney infections here, and remember to use a variety of Spyware detection products on a weekly basis.
I recommend Adaware, Spybot and Spywareblaster for detection and immunisation.
It is also worth bearing in mind that Microsoft's Internet Explorer is by far the most at risk browser as most (but not all) Spyware threats target it. If you haven't already do yourself a favour and download an alternative browser such as the excellent Firefox to help keep your PC Spyware free.

yeah they should do but only SW keyloggers although it is highly unlikely anyone would target you with a HW one. As the article says though some keyloggers kick on boot and are run at kernal level replacing the core keystroke sw and therefore very hard to detect.

yeah norton isnt so hot on spyware but keyloggers virtually fall into the virus category. does fsecure have a useful spyware function?
