Frame on Firefox?

Post by fac51 »

Anyone know why when my site (main page etc) is viewed on Firefox it has a frame all the way around it on the outside. this crashed horribly into the text when views at a res of 800x600.

dont know why it shows (or indeed what it is) as it doesnt on IE6

Ah, you need to edit the <body> tag so it diesn't say

border-style: solid; border-width: 1;

so basically remove 2 attributes from the style thing in the body tag.

yeah, there's a lot of websites written that don't conform to the proper W3 standards, but because IE6 let's people get away with non-conformancies, people assume that Firefox isnt showing pages correct, when it's in fact the page hasn't been written correctly

btw, you can check your pages conform by going to http://www.w3schools.com and clicking on the validation links on the right-hand side
