Corrupt message problem

Post by 117 »

Have been having a problem since xmarse on my S700i, once every coupla weeks i'll get a screen saying "Message received corrupt" or summat like that, then it won't lemme read the message or who it's from. subsequently, after the corrupt message i'll then get every message that people send me for the next 2 days 5-20 times over. for instance, had the corrupt message at about 11pm last night, since then i've received in the region of 100 messages but only 5 different ones!

hmmm sounds like it could be a service provider issue?

The problems with receiving text messages again...and again...AND AGAIN is getting quite annoying. And the corrupt ones too!!! Must waste the battery life a bit too.

I emailed O2 about it and they said there is a problem with the s700i and the O2 network that the engineers are working to fix. (belive that when I see it!!!!)

I seem to have found another fault with the phone as well. SOMETIMES when I'm logging in to check my emails (on the phone), the screen goes blank, the phone vibrates for about 1/4 sec, and it reboots. Then it's ok again. Very strange...anyone else experienced this?????

Some hints at some O2 prefixes not working well over at Digital Spy forums
I'm having the opposite problem this weekend! If anyone sends me a text I keep receiving multiple copies of it, as many as 10 of each. It's doing my head in! Also my phone keeps telling me some messages received are corrupt.

I have a Sony Ericsson S700 and a 07841 prefix.

Seems problem lies (mostly) with O2 (incompatibility with SE phones)
