Good firewall?

Dunno but they have. The autoprotect keeps failing now and giving me a link to a symantecs knowledge base article on how to fix, doesnt work though. Emailed them now. Not impressed, wish id stuck with 2004 now.

here is another annoyance with NiS 2005. if you move it's start menu location in order to keep your program menu nice and neat then it stops working with office and throws up errors everywhere. have to edit the fecking registry to get around it.

you tried moving your nis folder in the start menu coz that will deffo fook it up. nis 2005 is bloatware imo. got it configured and working properly now, lets hope it stays that way for the year and then i can get something else

nope, have installed it on my big pc, which is acting as my server so don't really f*ck about with it. My lappy's running ZA Pro, which seems excellent (shame it didn't work on the server)...

quite true... it also seems to block hack attempts into my laptop that NIS should have blocked coming into the server!

yup, activated it and bingo another years worth of updates

theoretically i ishoud get them as i purchased 2005 and am not using it but it's all good as 2004 kicks 2005's

Well weve got Smoothwall up and running for six month now and have tons of attempts on it, still no luck for those guys...

I still recomend the free smoothwall firewall, its still a virgin, noone popped her cherry

All you need is a p3 500 if you have one lying around and three networkcards and the proggie and a read up on it and youre set.

Btw theyve offered a 500? reward to whoever hacks it...
