Small Form Factor (SFF) Pc's

Ok I know mr mixy and the guru have one, what do you use it for? I am looking into one to use as a pvr/dvd/music etc and sit in my lounge and run thru the tv.

Any suggestions I have been looking at some HUSH jobbies

i havent got one, just built one for my mum. wanted to build her something small and fashionable which is exactly what it is. looks great and doesnt take up much space

want one for myself now though i must admit

shuttle is a brand name though, small form factor pc's (SSF) is the generic term

Also, they make very good PVRs as long as you get the correct software.

Mine is used primarily as a music device. Plugged into hifi and blasting out tunes at any time of the day.
I also used it for videos and films i'd downloaded and playing through the TV, also for downloading stuff overnight. Being an original tranquil PC, it was perfectly silent so could stay on all the time.
If the bastid still worked and i wasnt leaving the country (so had money to spend) i'd consider putting WinXP media centre thinghy onto it to make it more of the media PC it needs to be. Then slapping a TV card thinghy in so i can record tv and what not

Bastid doesn't work though, so i currently have it lying around in bits. Which is always nice.

I will have to look at the individual parts of the spec and check the manufacturers webs.
