I don't mean on some flash animations, I mean ALL flash animations, including adverts with the same play symbol!!

Why not just try a re-install?
erm about the lfash thingy you could try

The only flashes that come with play buttons are mixins flash thingies.
others just play for me. install flash player again?

Yep tis 28 over here... It's been kind of colder than usual this past week - it's usually still in the 30s at this time of month!
