Shuttle Won't Detect Hard Drive

Just built my first Shuttle SK43G system and for some reason it will not detect the hard drive?

The CD-Rom is detected fine but no sign of the hard drive and im also
getting an error message saying 'floppy drive failure' even though i can see the floppy in the bios.

Ive tried every different jumper setting on the hard drive, im assuming it must be master, or cable select rather than slave as it's on a different ide than the cd-rom. Ive tired auto detect in the bios but nothing?

Anyone any ideas on this as it's driving me nuts Thanks

scrub that, fixed it. for some strange reason the hard drive didnt like the molex connecter i was using?

the connecter from the power supply. sorted the floppy drive prob too, had the floppy cable fitted upside down

all sorted and windows installed now

it wouldn't be an ed installation if it didn't have teething problems

sounded like you had less troubles than usual tho matey!

i think most pc builds have the odd teething prob but too true ive impressed myself with this one

That's not it's proper name, but it was adopted as the Molex company were mainly responsible for that type of connector, and they are common as muck in fruit machines etc.
