UK Music Industry is to Sue Illegal Filesharers
Well I guess it was inevitable, it's been happening in the USA and Europe for a while now. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) have announced that they intend to sue the worst sharers of copyrighted music in the UK. They have set their sights on 28 UK users who have been tracked using their unique IP addresses. They will receive notification of proposed legal action in the next few weeks and will be given the option to settle out of court first.

The BPI have been granted the right to force the relevant ISP's to give them the names of the alleged 28 filesharers mentioned above.
