How'd you all learn HTML codes?

Just wondering, how did all you web designers out there learn HTML codes and all the others? Did you just goto lots of sites and memorise them? Did you read a book? I want to know how

Well i aint no web designer lol but i learned a bit from a book,tis called learn html in 24hrs :-)

i only read the bits i needed to tho.

i gotta book, can't remember what it's called, and not sure where it is, but it was kinda useful in my 10minutes i could be arsed with it

I pick up html codes by the classic method of copy-paste :lol:

I did it by myself, first modifing existing web pages, and after building my html pages

. Now I build html pages with php and asp code completely by myself
