Car entertainmentcenter!!!

Post by Adamizer »

Im not sure if this falls under the motorsection or if we miss a section for it but here goes! (move it to its own forum Ed!)

Ive been for a while tinkling with my car stereo and now I bump allover the street while driving.

It gives me full pleasure to have istalled an 8" Alpine 150w subwoofer in my trunk, two 6"9" threeway Jensen 180w in the rearwindow console and two 5" twoways pioneer 130w in the doors. All driven by an Alpine poweramp 4*70 watts. I feel this in my body when I crank it up.

This is my pleasure, being able to play as loud as I please. I tell you a lot off heads are turning. (maybe of dismay, but... )
I still have six speakers that are going in...

And im turning deaf but smiling all the way...

Approx. cost less than 1000?.

now whats u got in ur car????

i used to have all the banging stereo stuff in my car, back in the days of my nova sr and my xr2i. But now ive got standard speakers, just the nice head unit which is a Blaupunkt LosAngeles MP72 MP3 player, MP3 is definitely the way forward, 10albums to a cd, and it also takes memory cards as well

Well the point is to build as cheap as possible so most of it are used parts.

Ive got this idea not to put anything new or bougth at fullprice(therefor it can be new)everything is bought used or or at lowered price.

if u want quality u need to pay some cash for it.
How much did u pay for ur amps?
What is the rms of ur amp & speakers?

You really don't need all them speakers, what u want is a good quality amp + sub (like a jl Audio sub,not saying ur's aint good) a quality pair of 6x9's and a good pair of mid ranges. :) (Oh yeah and a quality headunit)

I've messed about with cheap amps and speakers, they just don't last.
i've had my JL Audio 250W(rms) with bridged Phonix Gold amp for about 4years and still pumps as well as it did the day i bought it. :D
I did pay quite a bit for it ?1,000 for both sub+amp.
it's not what u know,it's who u know.
