250Free.com reviewing their banned countries policy

Post by 117 »

Got this email today:

Hello,

A proposal is being made that would remove the blocked countries list. This would allow all visitors around the world to view free accounts and join 250Free. In exchange, hot-linking would no longer be offered on free accounts. The idea being that if we eliminate the primary vehicle for abuse (hot-linking), we should no longer need to restrict who is able to sign-up or view free member sites. For more information, and to participate in the poll and discussion about this policy change, please visit:
http://www.250free.com/help/forum/viewtopic.php?t=903
(Note: You must register at the forum before posting.)I would like to place your opinion under consideration before making a final decision. Please take a moment to cast your vote in the poll, and feel free make your comments or questions known in the discussion thread.Happy Holidays,Brian Salisbury

i know this would please Eamonn as theyve his site and access for him to anyone else's, but it'd mean sacrificing the ability to hotlink to anything on our own sites

I'm back & still am raving bbander! wooo :D

Yeh hotlinking out would be a bit shite. Don't really give two flying wanks about it cos I can just use the museum's webspace but what is annoying is not being able to see Kev's images that have been hotlinked... :deize:
